Maybe it is time to disincorporate Granby and let most of its functions go back to Newton County

We have lived in Granby for over 21 years and have seen little to no improvements in Granby. Has anyone ever thought about giving up Granby's incorporation status and let the county take over our road department, police department, etc. City Hall seems to be a power game. Pulling their weight around to get what they want and not the needs of the citizens of Granby. We have really good neighbors and have been happy to live in Granby except for the condition of the roads. Did I hear right that taxes and fees have been raised, but no improvements have been made? Where is the extra money going to? I believe it is time for Granby to give up control to the county that has more resources to make the improvements needed. Also there are often leaks from the old water pipes under the roads. Lately there has been more semis with big trailers getting stuck trying to turn on our small side roads not intended for large trucks. Isn't there a better way to guide them to where they need to go?
