No offence, but do you owe a bill or perhaps have a payment dispute with someone or company? If there's a collection judgement against you, look for this. Skip chasers do this, follow around in cars. I had a cousin who did this for awhile. Usually all skip chasers want to know is where you work at, so they can garnish you. Maybe, if this is the case, picked you up at a known friend's house. Follow you to your house, then the next am follow you from there to work. Setting into motion the garnishing of wages is their bag. Some towns use them for unpaid parking tickets so they can find out where you park and later give you a parking boot.

Well if that is what they think, they'd be wrong. I've endured far worse from far worse people, and I'm still around.

A decade of long-term psychological torture and horrible abuse at the hands of my mother failed to break me, I don't think the feds are going to do it with a half-dozen "wrong number" calls per day and tailing me when I'm in my car.

Seriously though, about the wrong numbers, there are about 9-12 numbers that often call my house, sometimes 3 of the numbers will call 2-3 times per day, each asking for one of two places (the numbers of these places are close to mine), and then I tell them they have the wrong number.

So basically person A calls two times, person B calls two times, person C calls two times... The next day it is person D, person E, and person F, etc... There are about 9-12 people in the "regular rotation" for the idiots who wrong-number call me. It makes me wonder if these are genuine wrong number calls. A typical "wrong number" person will call me not once, not twice, not three times, but at least 5-8 times per month.

I prefer semi-automatic pistols, I carry two semi-automatic pistols, but also a revolver.

I keep several semi-automatic pistols and revolvers staged at home and in my office for defense.

I would suggest being proficient, or at least familiar, with the operations of the most common weapons types for weapons you are likely to encounter.

I don’t use an SKS or AK type rifle on a daily basis, but I own several of each and am proficient with their operation and basic maintenance. My vehicle rifle is an AR-15 and my main home-defense rifle is an AR-15 and my office defense rifle is an AR-15.

If I have to carry a weapon in a jacket/coat pocket WITHOUT a holster, I would only do this with a heavy trigger pull revolver, probably a hamerless revolver such as my Smith and Wesson 340PD, which I have trained with for the purposes of firing it while it is still inside my coat pocket, as in firing through my own coat. The idea being, I am out walking, I have my hand in my coat pocket on my revolver, or I see a suspicious character coming my way, I put my hand in my pocket and on my revolver, the character begins to clear clothing in a furtive move to make a draw, but I am already on my revolver and I am aligned with him, so at a distance of say 3–10 feet, I just push my hand forward and begin firing through my own coat and into him. This cannot be done with any semi-automatic pistol and is hard to do with an exposed hammer or hammered revolver.

All but the most compact semi-automatic pistols will have at least a 4–6 round advantage in capacity over a revolver, and often an 8–10 round advantage.

Revolvers tend to be considerably more expensive, at least the ones I like, Colt Troopers, Colt Detective Specials, Colt Pythons, Smith and Wesson Model 29 [and the Model 27 for that matter], even the modern Smith and Wesson Model 340PD is twice the price of a Glock.

Revolvers give a bit more play with the ammunition. I keep my Colt Trooper loaded with 4 rounds of .38 special Hornady Critical Defense, and then the final 4 rounds in the rotation are .357 magnum Underwood bonded hollow points at 1700 fps.

Revolvers seem to have a bit more “soul” or “feel” to them, that is to say they have an aura of being special, possessing more character.

In 60 years I imagine my children and grandchildren will be arguing over who gets the Colt Troopers, Colt Pythons, and Colt Detective Specials, nobody is going to spend money litigating and arguing over who gets the Glocks. Glocks are tools, they are not collectible, nobody fawns over them.

You buy a Glock, you become proficient with it, you practice with it, you carry it, you don’t fawn over it and photograph it from every possible angle, you don’t daydream about getting the next Glock and you don’t wind down at night by looking at gun forums to find deals on Glocks.

There is no obsessive anticipation in the pursuit of the acquisition of the next Glock or the next Springfield Armory semi-auto stock pistol.

Some people do have that obsessive anticipation with Colt Pythons and Colt Troopers.

I wouldn’t carry a Colt Python for every defensive use, not because it isn’t up to the job, or because I am not proficient with it, but because I don’t want to have it out and about like that.

To me having a Colt Python would be like having Grace Kelly, Ingrid Bergman, or Olivia de Havilland as your wife, you’d want to fawn over her and hire somebody to follow alongside her and hold her parasol so she doesn’t get exposed to the sun.

Why would I carry a Colt Python and expose it to holster wear, moisture from my sweat running down into the gun, the elements, the possibility of risk of exposure to theft or being confiscated by police if I use it defensively?

Revolvers are great and I enjoy them, and they can function as tools, but a Glock is designed and meant as a tool and nothing more, which is why I carry a Glock for my primary pistol, and a Ruger pistol as my backup pistol, and a Smith and Wesson 340PD as a coat/jacket pocket pistol.

Colt Trooper and Colt Detective Special are as rich as I will go for carry guns. I have gone through a pistol course with a Colt Detective Special and would do it again, although the next one I will probably use a Colt Trooper.

It has been a while since contract law however I recall that it isn't possible to buy something that isn't available for sale.

If you have a $135,000 Maserati that isn't for sale and I leave a $100 bill on the ground and drive away with the Maserati then that is theft.

If Beto plans to steal my property by offering me 1% to 5% market value and trying to force me to accept at gunpoint and via the threat of violence, at that point we move way beyond AR-15s and issues over carbines and I would contemplate the possibility of my AR-10 or Barrett M107a1 being needed.

I just went through a four day tactical rifle course (taught by a number of tactical police team members and leaders) and one of the live fire houses had a heavily modified target where originally a pistol armed man was holding a woman hostage and had his arm wrapped around her throat.

The instructors modified the target and taped a flashlight picture in his hand over the gun picture he originally had and they put a gun picture in the woman's hand.

I entered the room and began to clear the room. When I saw the target and noted it was a male with a dark metal object in one hand holding a woman with his other arm/hand around her neck I promptly shot him in the forehead. I then realized she had a gun and he only had a flashlight and then I shot her twice in the chest.

During the debrief the instructor said, “that man had a flashlight and was trying to stop her from attacking him, she was pulling a gun on him. You shot the victim first. You got her but you weren't supposed to shoot him.”

My response was, “I assumed he was the aggressor.”

Almost every male student made that same decision.

Not ranked in order of importance.

1- Grenades are rare.

2- Grenades are expensive.

3- Grenades require a certain level of training to effectively employ and are often used for room clearing or are thrown from behind cover, or else the thrower is generally within the wound radius.

4- Grenades are not particularly useful for killing people in the open.

5- Grenades have a kill radius of about 15 feet and a wound radius of about 50 feet.

6- Most people won’t be able to effectively throw grenades so they themselves are out of the wound radius, which is why grenades are most often used to be thrown into a building/room prior to entry, or are thrown into an enemy foxhole/trench/position or are thrown from your own position.
