It is with the deepest regret and sense of personal loss that I must inform you of the death of Comrade Daniel Koplitz, a.k.a. Colonel House, in Kalispell, Montana on the night of January 12th. If memory serves, he was 54, although I am not certain. The cause of death was given as cardiac arrest due to malignant hypertension.


Dan had been ill for some time and like most White males of our generation, had no medical insurance, which gave him only limited access to health care. He was on medication and according to the coroner I spoke with, the autopsy showed he was taking it at the time of his death.


The Colonel was our top electronics and video guy, as many of you know, and he will be sorely missed. He is leaving behind some big shoes to fill.

Okay, long and complex story as short as possible:

When Colonel House died in January, according to sources on the ground in Montana, the FBI broke into his room (or bamboozled his landlord into letting them in) and confiscated his computer and its hard drive, which has now disappeared. The hard drive is no doubt lying in some plastic tub in some FBI evidence locker in D.C. now.

However, they were apparently too stupid to understand what an external hard drive is, and also that laptops have drives as well. Through the indefatigable efforts of one of our Montana comrades, we have now gained access to the remainder of Colonel House’s “stuff” where the local authorities stored it.

(Axis Sally wasn’t kidding on this week’s RFN—you need to make a will. Dying intestate leaves an incredible mess behind.)

On these drives we have almost all of House’s back-up videos, still graphics, works-in-progress, etc., so his creative work has not been completely lost to the Northwest Republic.

If you are A) a YouTuber or other videomaker who can use the Colonel’s videos and bits and pieces of video, introductions, film clips, and/or B) someone who wishes to design Northwest Front business cards, propaganda, open a Café Press site selling NF nick-nacks, or anything requiring graphics, then we will arrange to get this material into your hands, or at least onto your computer.

I will be making a special list to discuss the use of this fine legacy for our movement. No ICIs (Idle Curiosity Inquiries), please. Serious inquiries only from serious people who intend to use this material for the purpose for which it was intended, not just play with it or be entertained. This is the last work of one of the best men our cause has ever had, and we need to make full use of this windfall.
